  • Do you bill my insurance directly?
    Answer

     Yes we are able to direct bill your insurance. The only stipulation is some insurance companies are non-assignable which means they will not pay the Dentist directly. If this is the case then you would have to pay in full and receive reimbursement from your plan. You can find this out by contacting your insurance company and asking if they assign payment to the Dentist. If your insurance does assign payment to us, then we can send your treatment through that day to them, they reply back to us immediately with what they are paying, and you pay any difference not covered by them. 

  • Our motto is "Experience the Difference". What does it mean?
    Answer

    Just what it says. When you come to our office, you will definitely have a different dental experience. Not only the way you are treated by our caring staff and the state of the art equipment that we use, but also the surroundings. Our award winning historic restoration along with the art work create a comfortable and soothing environment that makes one feel relaxed. The comment we hear most is ”WOW, this doesn’t feel like a dental office”.

  • Do you do implants?
    Answer

    Yes, we do offer implants at our office. If you are interested in seeing if an implant is right for you, the first step is to give our office a call to schedule a consultation with Dr. John Rector. At this appointment, he will be able to answer any of the questions you may regarding this procedure.

  • Are root canals painful?
    Answer

    Root canals are not painful. The procedure has come a long way over the years. If you have had a filling placed before, then you are prepared to have a root canal. The procedure requires the same freezing, and normally takes the same amount of time as a filling. Most times we can finish the root canal procedure in a one hour appointment. You would return in a couple weeks for your final filling which doesn't even require freezing once the root canal is complete. 

  • Is it possible to freeze an abscessed tooth?
    Answer

    Yes. In most cases we can freeze, open and drain an abscessed tooth. This results in immediate pain relief and a future appointment is then made to complete the procedure in comfort.

  • Is it necessary to take antibiotics when you have an abscessed tooth?
    Answer

    In our office, we find that once we open and drain the abscessed tooth, it is no longer necessary to prescribe antibiotics. Our experience shows that only about 1 in 20 of our root canal patients need antibiotics. We strongly believe in minimal use of antibiotics.

  • Do I get to pick which Dentist I see?
    Answer

    Yes, you absolutely can pick which Dentist you would like to see. We currently have five Dentists at our clinic. We try out best to match you up with the Dentist that we feel best suits your needs. It is very common for us to have a discussion with you in order to determine who the best fit is.  However, it is your privilege to switch Dentists at anytime. We can ensure you receive the best possible care with having five Dentists on staff to consult with each other about your needs.

  • Do you offer payment plans?
    Answer

    We do not offer payments plans. Payment is expected on the day that treatment is rendered. We do offer a "lay away" plan where you can put money on your account and once you have the needed amount saved up, we can begin treatment. 

  • Do you treat patients on social assistance?
    Answer

    Yes, we do accept patients on Social Assistance. You must bring your white health card to your appointment with you and it has to say "Dental" on it with a current expiration date. Without this information we are not able to bill them. For children on Social Assistance, they now have a Blue Cross card that says "Healthy Smiles, Clear Vision"
